Cake Sale this Friday 1st October

This Friday 1st October, a few of us will be up at St Kew School selling cakes to raise money for the pre-school. If you could help out with the selling (3pm) or bake cakes and bring them into pre-school on Thirsday or Friday, that would be great.

Pre School Open Day

On Tuesday 21st September, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm we will be holding an open afternoon for any prospective parents who would like to have a look around our facilities, meet the staff and see what the pre-school is like. There will be lots of fun, free activities for the children, including face painting, music, crafts, the lovely outdoor play area and more! Everyone coming along will be entered into a free prize draw and receive a voucher entitling them to their first pre-school session or baby & toddler session free of charge!

I hope everyone who came to Trevathan has dried out!, I think the kids enjoyed themselves despite the rain.

It looks like we are going to meet on Thursday 5th Aug at the playbarn chapel amble (the Olde house) at 10.30am.

and Tuesday 10th August we will meet at springfields ( near st columb) at 10.30am.

March at Pre-school

Another busy month at pre-school, to celebrate shrove Tuesday the children made and cooked pancakes for their snacktime, they made chocolate Cornish flags for St Pirans day, made cards, biscuits and flowers for mothers day, also planted a sunflower seed each for a growing competition later in the year.

Some of the children did a sponsored walk down the camel trail in fancy dress, the day was really enjoyable and they finished in the park for a well deserved play. We raised around £160, thank you to all the sponsors.

We are holding a “Jamie Oliver at Home Party” which is a range of kitchen accessories and tableware, at the Parish Hall as a Pre-school fund raising event on Wednesday 21st April at 1.30pm, there will be a prize raffle, demonstrations and refreshments available, Everyone welcome and bring a friend!

January News

The last day of term before Christmas the Pre-school children had a Christmas party where the children performed songs and dance’s for the audience of parents, grandparents and guests. This was followed by a special visit from Father Christmas, who brought a few early Christmas presents for the children and toddlers!

St Kew Pre-school is a registered charity, which is run by a voluntary committee and a large proportion of the running costs and equipment purchases are made from the fundraising by parents and our community.
In December the Pre-school held 2 fundraising events, the Table top sale at Wadebridge Town Hall raised £184, and our very popular Christmas fayre raised a fantastic £520, many thanks to everyone who donated items, helped on the day and supported both events.
We are also very grateful for the wonderful support we have received from St Kew Parish Hall Committee and St Kew Parish Council, Thank you!

After all the fun of Christmas and the snowy start to the new year, the children were excited to get back to pre-school and see their friends, In the first week the Pre-school children were invited to a puppet show at St Kew primary school, following that they have been making their own puppets and learning how to tell stories in their own puppet theatre.

The Baby and Toddler group is back after the Christmas break on a Tuesday afternoon, with new themed activities, if you haven’t been for a while why not come along and try us out, we guarantee you’ll love it!

Pre-School has places available, children can start from 2 years of age and do not need to be toilet trained.

Pre-school open again

The Pre-school was open again today, now the snow and ice is melting away.
The children were very happy to be back at pre-school with their friends.

Thanks to everyone who helped get the pre-school open again after the bad weather.

Pre-school closed Mon 11th & Tues 12th Jan

The pre-school will be closed on Monday and Tuesday this week owing to the weather conditions, the roads and footpaths surrounding the pre-school are still very icy.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused, as soon as conditions improve we will post details.

Toddle Waddle- postponed

Sorry We are postponing the toddle waddle for tomorrow, until the weather warms up.
